Album Description:

A strip plank approach to building the new T26 rudder design. This method minimizes sculpting by removing most of the waste with a bandsaw before final glue-up of the laminate strips.

    • Thanks for the pics! I'm hoping to try this this winter. I don't suppose you have any tips, particularly on the shaping. That seemed like it would be difficult and time consuming, any advice or lessons learned?

    • i have recently purchased a 1978 t26 having moved up from a t 22 which i sailed with great pleasure for 10 years. i am disapointed in the 26 however with the sever amount of weather helm when sailing. do you have a set of detailed plans and templates a novice carpenter might understand and be able to build his own rudder (which i assume solves the weather helm problem) thanks for any help you may be able to supply. wayne saint john n b email wcolwell@nb.aibn.com
