Dear Jill, this is a really nice and exciting album. Great colorful action shots all over. And I loved the videos, they really transmit to us all the exciting atmosphere. I had no idea that the Tour the France had such an impact in England! It was a real surprise for me. We have the "Volta a Portugal" = Tour de Portugal running now! It's a very exciting event for us too. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful vacation time! Wishing all the best, warm hugs, Rosa

O.k. Don't know what's goin' on but I viewed this whole album pic by pic the other day, and I cannot believe I didn't leave a single message! What is the matter with me, not even a g/b entry. I must be loosing it! :D. So I made up for it now, I got real interested because the Tour de France started the following day, when we left London and all Piccadily was all decked out and lots of stuff happening..I at least wanted to see a little and you made it possible, thanks mate! I've read somewhere you weren't doin' well, and I just stopped by to be sure you're o.k.??? ..and of course I ain't leaving without some big hugs from Houston! Cheers. Marita

Hi Jill, Thank you for your comment on my album. I've looked at your photos again as I didn't watch your videos last time. It was a fantastic occasion. You have captured the atmosphere so well. The promotional caravan was so entertaining. I saw a stage of the race in France in 2000 and the cyclists whoosh past so fast but it's a great occasion. There is talk of the Tour coming back to Britain in 2010. I hope so. See you at Honister. Pam x

I always see the Tour de France on TV and I'm sure that seeing it with your own eyes is even more exciting. I can see from your pictures that everyone had a lot of fun watching these riders in London. Thanks for sharing this interesting album with us! Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

Dear Jill, A really enjoyable album, looks like a great day out. I didn't realise there were so many floats etc but i suppose you need the big build up when the riders go by in such a flash! Given up trying to keep up with everyone at the moment, haven't even sorted out my holiday pics! Glad to hear you have a holiday booked! :-) Wish i was joining you at Honister! :-( Love, Angela

Hi Jill, Super photos, all looks very exciting. They came through Brighton once and they were just a blur and a woosh, that was just going up the steep hills!! Chris

Hi Jill , I've been following the Tour on ITV4 each night so really enjoyed viewing these . There's so many views above , in front , behind etc on tv but none from the crowd so to see your photos was a real pleasure an excellent set they are too . Regards Stiggsy

Hi Jill, As I am a great fan of the Tour de France I took a special interest in this album. The stages in England were a big success. Everything was well organized and many people were interested in the riders and everything coming with the tour. Viewing your album was like being part of the show. Great! I had a good time. Greetings, Tjebbe

Hi Jill, you have certainly captured the flavour of the event. the build up is amazing, all those cars etc. I did watch it on TV & I think we did them proud for their visit to UK, even found some sunshine for them. Many years ago when I was very young the tour of Britain used to come through our midlands town & I always watched it (I did see the one that Jimmy Saville road in! that dates me LOL). Eric

Hello Jill, you did really capture all the exceitement, the glitz and glamour, and the real action of the Tour de France. Fabulous pictures of the ambience of infectious anticipation. I was suppoeded to be in London to take in the Wimbledon finals as well as Tour de France, but had to cancel in the last moment. Thanks for showing the excitement I missed. Best wishes, Suresh

Hi Jill, You have shown us the Tour de France from an up close point of view that most of us would not have been able to see otherwise. Your pictures were excellent and I enjoyed the videos that you added. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Cynthia

Glad you took loads of pictures Jill, my Dads camera just cant take so many so quickly so I've only got a few of the actual cyclists. The second group may have been the ones that fell off which included the stage winner Robbie McEwen, who rode a fantastic last few miles to get back to the front of the peleton for the sprint finish. It was certainly worth seeing, as we're not likely to get that chance again in the near future!
