A 2003 Mercruiser "bobtail" (sans outdrive) was obtained from The Chesapeake Repowering Center (http://www.ssss.com/ssss/chesapeake/mer cruiser.asp), a division of Stewart and Steveson (www.ssss.com). This s totally new engine with new carb, starter, alternator, headers, water pump, the works! It also qualifies as an ultra-low emissions engine in California. How politically correct!
