The culprit - water leaking in through the shift cable

Apparently water is leaking in through the shift cable due to a seal leak in the lower unit. I recently had the lower unit serviced, and the fellow who did the job must have installed a seal wrong, or a seal failed. Off to the boat dealer for another overhaul!
