Rusty Johnson has taken a small group of ladies packing out into the High Desert White Mountains each August for the last 15 years. No guys. We pack in all we need for the week on our panyards tied securely to the back of the saddles. Total self-sufficiency. Gratitude. Joy. Exhilaration. Cold creeks of Mountain water. Huge sky. This year we witnessed the Blue Moon. Bats. Hawks. REAL Indians. Wild Horses. Mountain Goat. Kangaroo Rats. Chuckers. Mountain Lion. Terrain is extreme. Rocks. Steep
