El Chris was the first Lürssen yacht I had ever seen. It was in the autumn of 1999 in the Zea Marina, Piraeus. El Chirs was built in 1960 for the German Navy under the name S-22 Dommel. In 1983 she was totally rebuilt and christenend Lina III. Later she was sold again and renamend El Chris. She has a length of 44.44m (145.80 ft.) and she is powered by twin 1450 hp Deutz Diesel which give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum of 18 knots.
