This mess was created when BK ski area tried to create a 3rd snowmaking pond (actually a 12 to 15 acre lake) near the summit of BK. The lake was finally completed in August 06; however, due to it's poor design, it doesn't hold a significant amount of water. It should be noted that 100% of this area is located on Blue Knob State Park land!
