In the mountains above Palm Springs, California, there was an abandoned nudist colony. Amongst the ruins, the empty swimming pool became a place of pilgrimage for pool skating enthusiasts from around the world, and a place of legend in skateboarding history. In this photo, Barry Friedburg slashes the deep end coping during a late-December, 1987 session.
