Album Info:
Does it get any more dungeon like? Yes this really is my shop. It has a dirt floor. It is six feet wide. It is 6 feet high. It reminds me of some of the fighting positions I slept in while in the Army. Its better than building out in the rain but not by much. Have pity on me.

Hello m8, good to find another amature takeling the great welonseed. I found pictures of 1 at a wooden boat show in Port Townsend, Washington [spent my hi school yrs there '59-'62]. This is an extended one with a black hull. These boats are so low in the water that they are beautiful. Could you plz tell me where you acquired your sheets of offsets. I did save the larger of your 2 shown & think they are clear enough to loft from. Presently I live in Flagstaff, Arizona [not a good place for wooden boats, they dry up real fast[. We are planing a move back up to Spokane, Washington where I got my start with boats, owning up to 7 before the move south. I was only able to bring 1 with me, a 1950's Chris Craft plywood kit boat. My big lose was a 14' CR Mason 2 place rower, circa 1920's from Smith Falls, Ontario. It had 41 cedar ribs & planked with cedar then canvas. The uniqueness of it was it's stern configuration, a complete tumblehome around an oval oak transon of 11"x31". This is the only boat I've ever seen this done. I've plans out of old Popular Mechanics 'Boat Builder's Handbook I believe from the 1040's for a boat called the Dolly Vardon which is of the same build and I will change the stern to the full tumblehome and extend to 16'. When I started getting excited about boats again my wife informed me that I can buy a sheet of ply when we move into a house in about 1 1/2 yr, set time of migration. Gives me lots of study and drawing time. Late now & off to bed. Hope to hear from you soon & enjoy your melonseed! Michael Hogan
