A well known lookout during the Civil War and the War of 1812 lies on the south side of the Inner Harbor - Federal Hill. Now an historic park, it features fantastic views of the entire Baltimore Inner Harbor area. Federal Hill was named after the city-wide celebration that followed the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, and has been a public park since 1879.
