During the heyday of the 1980's east coast vert scene, there was a particularly loud bunch of guys, from Boston and the surrounding New England-region, who routinely travelled to the biggest events and best locations. Of them all, Metalman, Twista, Noonan, McLean, Lemieux and more, Alva teamer Fred Smith III was, perhaps, the most recognizable. Here, Fred is about to deliver a fairly loud wallop on the steel deck and concrete coping of the late, great Cedar Crest Country Club ramp.
