1998-99 NHL New York Rangers Wayne Gretzky Alternate jersey. This is a one year only style worn during Wayne Gretzky's final season. An interesting quirk with this style, Set 1 had three color names like this one, and Set 2 had only two color names. The 3 color set one was worn on October 16, 1998 vs. New Jersey Devils at MSG (2-1 NJ 0g 1A), October 24, 1998 at Philadelphia Flyers (2-2 0g 1A), and October 27 vs. Buffalo Sabres at MSG (0-0 0g 0A). Gretzky won the Lady Byng trophy in 98-99.
