  • This picture was taken by Mike Fischer of the Adirondack Pirate Paddlers ( http://www.adirondackpiratepaddlers.org/ ). 4 members of the APP showed up for the beginning of the Polar Pluunge. They were: Mike Fischer (blue kayak) aka Mad Dog Mike, Jim Gould (yellow kayak) aka Dr. Grog, Bill Smolin (beige kayak) aka Baja Bill, and Mack McPherson (wooden boat) aka De Mac. Also, Ed Sharp ( SharpPhoto.com) was there in a kayak as well. About 9 more APP members showed up later.
